This slide presentation outlines a study on manganese removal by oxide coatings that focused on media characterization and optimization of operational variables. Overall research objectives included:characterize the oxide coated media for Size and surface area, andOxide coating level;conduct laboratory experiments forMn uptake capacity, andexamine the impact of operational variables on Mnremoval;evaluate laboratory and full scale mediaregeneration requirements for both online andoffline use of oxidants; and,guidance and documentation.
